CIANA utilizes a new model of immigrant integration services designed specifically for immigrants and refugees from the "traditional" societies of the Greater Middle East and its neighboring countries in Africa and South Asia. CIANA addresses the root causes of the growing isolation and marginalization of newcomers from traditional societies, and provides opportunities to successfully integrate into the socio-economic and civic life of America.

CIANA assists new immigrants and refugees who have come to pursue social, economic, and professional opportunities, but need the appropriate services to succeed. New Americans receive intensive orientation to American systems and norms immediately upon entry into the host society, as well as assistance in overcoming cultural and language barriers that keep them marginalized and impoverished. Targeted services will promote family well-being and stability, make available job and educational opportunities, and provide counseling and support services.
