CIANA would like to congratulate Abbas Khakpour for passing his citizenship exam on April 10, 2019. Khakpour has been attending its ESL and Civics classes since January 2018, and was very confident going into the exam that he would pass.
Khakpour moved to the United States from Iran in 2013 with his wife, Zahra Rassouli. He looks forward to learning more English to be a more integral part of the community in Astoria.
