The Immigrant Children Services program focuses on immigrant and refugee families from the highly traditional societies of the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.  It seeks to strengthen the family unit and prevent the abuse and neglect of children and their placement into foster care.  It engages families in intensive case management and counseling, and helps them understand American child welfare, domestic violence, and immigration laws.

The program monitors the health and education of the children, and ensures their safety and well-being. It uses parenting education, home visits, and access to housing, employment, education, medical, mental health, and legal services, to stabilize and strengthen the family.

The program was initiated in March 2008. To date, we have prevented the foster care placement of 165 children.
