  • CIANA’s organizational diversity represents the diversity of the communities it serves.  Respect and appreciation for diversity remain CIANA’s core principles as it addresses the language and cultural needs of its newcomer target population from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.

CIANA staff, volunteers, and interns have the experience, background, skills, language, and cultural competency to serve new immigrants and refugees from around the world.  They enjoy a vast cultural heritage, their families coming from Bangladesh, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Holland, India, Iran, Pakistan, Palestine, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tibet, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Our current  staff speak Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, French, Hindi, Italian, Indonesian, Malay, Mandarin, Nepali, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tibetan, Urdu.
