Paul serves as the Program Supervisor of the Child Welfare Preventive Services program, supervising child welfare staff serving high-risk immigrant families. Previously, he was a supervisor with JASA Brooklyn Adult Protective Services, where he worked with at-risk adults who were mentally/physically impaired with no one acting responsibly on their behalf. Prior to working in social services, Paul held a number of corporate management positions, including Vice President and Department Manager at Merrill Lynch and Manager at Arthur Andersen. Throughout Paul’s corporate career, he engaged in extensive volunteer services with organizations such as the Court Appointed Special Advocates in Brooklyn, the Partnership for the Homeless, Covenant House, Big Brothers, Friends In Need, Volunteers of the Shelters, and prison populations at the Metropolitan Correction Center in Manhattan.
Paul received his MSW from the New York University school of Social Work with a concentration in clinical and group practices. He received his B.S. degree in mathematics from the Ohio State University and is a member of the honorary Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. Paul is also an ordained interfaith minister who received an MSC (Minister of Spiritual Counseling) from the New Seminary in New York City. In addition, Paul has traveled to over 45 countries, including many of the nations whose immigrant populations CIANA now serves.
