Adult ESL Classes
In partnership with the Consortium for Worker's Education (CWE), CIANA offers new immigrants the opportunity to acquire basic English language skills in order to advocate for their families, achieve their personal and professional goals, and prepare for citizenship and civic participation.
Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30AM-1PM.
CIANA prepares future Americans for the naturalization test and interview in small classes. Sponsored by CWE, our Civics classes promote a better understanding of U.S. history, government, and American systems, and promote civic engagement.
Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30AM-1PM.
CIANA’s legal program assists with completing immigration forms, naturalization and permanent residency applications, family petitions, DACA, adjustment of status, and other immigration issues. We offer legal consultations and direct representation with an experienced immigration attorney to meet immigration needs.
Elementary After School Tutoring Program
CIANA offers one-on-one and small group homework help to elementary students grades 1-5.
Tutoring is held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30PM during the school year. Enrollment is on a rolling basis. so call us or stop by to sign up.
SONYC Middle School After School Program
The Middle School after school program, offered through School's Out NYC (SONYC), offers students academic support, as well as recreational and leadership activities. Our program fosters exploring interests and personal goals.
The program meets Monday-Friday, 3PM-6PM at St. George's Episcopal Church in Astoria. To register your child, give us a call or drop by our office.
CIANA provides case management, information, and referral services to assist eligible individuals and families to obtain affordable housing, SNAP, SSI, Medicaid, Medicare, employment, job training, and a variety of other services in addition to resume development and job application advisement.
