Learning for Life
At CIANA, we help immigrants and their families successfully integrate into American society while maintaining pride in their cultural heritage. Our holistic model gives newcomers a path toward citizenship and the abilities to become socially and economically self-sufficient.
CIANA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, registered in New York under the name Center for the Integration and Advancement of New Americans, Inc. (CIANA). If you are a resident of the United States, your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
About our Fundraiser
We believe that education is the first step to success in American society. Our Elementary After School Tutoring Program is one of our most successful initiatives. We are excited about its high success rate, and are looking forward to adding capacity to satisfy its long waiting list. Our immigrant children learn how to socialize with others and improve their academic and study skills. Our volunteer tutors give them one-on-one attention which increases their self-esteem and encourages their love of learning.
Federal, state, and city funding for immigrant-serving programs like ours are at an all-time low. With your support, we can hire a program coordinator, offer more days for tutoring, and accept more children into our program. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 by July 6th to help us assist the youngest generation of new Americans.
